I must say i was little bit skeptical about these diapers at first... i really thought it will not hold the more solid parts in, if you know what i mean. My 8 month old is taking swim lessons so i was terrified that he will have an accident and we will have "floaters" in the pool and have to do the walk of shame after they will have to close down the pool. Well to my surprise after a great lesson i was changing my son to a regular diaper and there was a big surprise in the swim diaper and everything stayed in... so long story short, yes i recommend that diaper just make sure you buy the correct size
I had purchased an older version of these same swim bottoms also in 24m (25-30lb) that didn't have the side snaps and it was a hassle, especially to take off when wet. It was also substantially smaller even though it was technically the same size. I LOVE these. My son is a chunky 25lb one year old and they fit his thighs without leaving painful dents! The snaps are super convenient and I have never had an issue with them coming undone or anything. Overall very happy with this purchase and would recommend the product to a friend!! If you found my review helpful please let me know! Thanks
My nephew just turned one, and as has always been my experience with babies, he wears twice his size (18-24 months). I got the 24 months bathing suit and it fits him great! Got him another one so we can rotate them in the summer. I'll update once we try them in the pool. Update: These swim diapers are awesome! We haven't had any accidents in the pool and he looks so cute and comfy in them! They are easy to put on him and when we're done in the pool, we just rinse it out and hang it outside to dry until the next day. And I love all the different fun designs! Great product!
I'm not as much a fan of this diaper as I am of the apple cheeks diaper we ordered at the same time. It's very cute, and I like that it is padded and will absorb accidents a little better when outside the water, and the snaps are a must to make it easy to remove. But the diaper is too tight around the waist and too loose around the legs of our baby. He's not a chunky baby by any means so I wasn't necessarily surprised that the fit around the legs wasn't great, but by the time his legs get chunky enough, I feel like the waist will be uncomfortably small. Highlighted the advantage of having an adjustable fit, at least for us.
The fit is somewhat small, I had to go to a bigger size, other than that I love these, I bought them for both my grandsons. I hated the so called disposable swim diapers, they just got soggy and heavy. These are more like a fitted swim suit. Cute and practical. They don't restrict their movements in the water or playing in they yard. When they are done, they dry quickly and go through the washer and dryer with no problems.
So, supposedly these are better than the snap swim diapers. These have more elasticity to them around the legs. These were suggested by our swim place over the snapped diapers. We had a little "incident" in the snapped swim diaper, and they didn't hold in the solid. So, the swim place suggested we use the elastic swim diapers instead. Therefore, we migrated to elastic. We haven't had an incident with these, so if they don't hold it in, I will update the review.
Size 18-24 fits our 18-month-old who is tall for his age and about 24lbs (over a disposable) just right (snug). I'm not sure if they have changed their sizing because I don't see that size I purchased anymore. We have only been using it indoors with disposables underneath, so I wouldn't know how it performs at beaches and without layers. Good quality and easy to put on/ take off. I plan on purchasing another pair soon.
Just when I didn't think my baby could be any cuter. ERMAHGERD, so adorable! I own a few swim diapers and this one is my favorite. Very well made, I can tell it will hold up nicely. You don't need to wear anything with it/in it. All you need is this! The side snaps make it SUPER easy to get on and off. Size wise: I always buy up just because I would rather my kid grow into things. So I ordered an 18 month size for my 7 month old (who is 99%tile in all growth measurements) ....my son normally wears size 12 months. So yes, I would order a size up than your kid normally wears. Tip: since its made to keep things in, it will also hold water as you get out. so make sure you take the diaper off outside or you will have a big puddle of water if you take it off inside :)
Ordered the XL for my tall 29lb 23-month-old, it fit great. It's snug around the waist and legs, but it's supposed to be. We previously used a different brand (can't remember the name) but those leg holes were disproportionately large compared to the waist--this one seemed better proportioned. He hasn't pooped in it yet, but I imagine the snaps on one side will be helpful when that happens. It's not as quick to dry as our prior brand, but it seems like it would hold pee in a little better if he happened to pee in the locker room.
Holds in liquid very well! So well that my child had an accident and when I removed him from the pool and opened the side, liquid and the accident flooded out. TMI, I know, but beware when changing indoors or on a pool deck that the liquid will be trapped inside. My child seems a lot happier not having a bulky swim diaper and we are very comfortable that nothing will seep into the pool!
Super cute bathing suit for boy as alternative to swim diapers (non reusable). This swim diaper is easy to put on and take off as one side has snaps (especially if baby poops it's a nuisance to slide down legs if sides don't open!). Fabric next to baby skin is soft and cushy. I would say fits quite small as my babe is 4 months, 19 pounds and I bought a large for him which looks like it may only last a few weeks (supposed to be for babies 12-18 months, 22-25 pounds). Overall happy with product.
These swim diapers work great! My almost 2yo has used them almost daily all summer long. He is mostly potty trained, so we've not tested out how these diapers handle poop, but he's still required to wear a swim diaper and these keep us from using disposables. The leg openings are snug (for a reason), so you may need to go up a size if your baby has really big thighs. In the older sizes there are side snaps to make removal easier. Tip: when undressing your little one, do so somewhere other than carpet. My little one stepped on his while we were taking it off and he squeezed out all the pool water and pee on the rug. To clean, just squeeze out the fluids, then rinse thoroughly in running water.
They are very durable and made for a strong material with cute prints, but buy a size up for your child! My son is 10 months old and 20lbs 28.5inches long and wears the XL size which according to the label is for a 18-24month old 25-30lbs. Luickly I had a friend let me try the size I thought was going to fit him based on his weight and height and it wouldn't go past his thighs.
I love these! I got them for my daughter to try with my grandson. We were a bit leary of the no diaper needed, reusable situation, but they did exactly as stated! It kept everything in without the use of a diaper, and we just threw it in the wash when we were done! I'll get her a few more as it saves a ton over buying water-logged disposable swimmers!
Great Product, but get larger size that you would normally if your baby has chubby thighs. Some of these diapers have adjustable side snaps so they grow with your baby. My baby is 20 lbs, and 8 months old and he wore the large. They are great, keep poop inside, rinse out clean, and wash up great.
I've bought several of these, they work great for my boys. Only down side is that my husband can never find the top.
This is the second i play swim diaper we have purchased through Amazon. We love them and find them to be more convenient than I disposable swim diaper and swim trunks. They are very well made, although they do run small as many other reviewers have mentioned- I ordered size 18 months for my 10 month old (he is in the 50th percentile).
This was adorable and fit as expected. I highly recommend this kind with the snaps. The ones they sell in most retail stores do not have the snaps and if your baby makes a "twosie" it's a huge mess to pull off. Cute and worked like a charm. FYI this diaper fits the same as the ruffle girl diaper.
Love these. Never had deal deal with poop but they fit well and I'm not filling a landfill with a disposable swim diaper that doesn't absorb anything. At least this has a little bit of absorption so I don't worry about our walk to the pool at public parks.
My son had one of these last summer so I thought it would be a good idea to get him two more pairs this summer. Last year he was under a year old and didn't spend much time at the beach running around. This swimmy diaper worked great in his little backyard pool! Unfortunately, now that he is more active, it ended up chafing his inner thighs pretty bad while running around at the beach for an hour or so. I will try washing it and see if it softens up a bit but I have a feeling I wasted my money. Bummer. Maybe this was designed to be used primarily in pools? Hopefully it is more comfortable for other kids.
Work great as a swim diaper, very soft and seems more comfortable than the disposable ones. Fits small, definitely will want to buy a size up. My son is 21 months and weighs 27lbs, the 3T fits great and will probably fit through the summer.
my almost 1 year old is a chunky 26 lbs. We ordered him a Large iplay swim diaper at the beginning of the summer when he was about 22 lbs and he quickly grew out of it 2 months later. We are taking a vacation in Oct and the hotel has a great pool so I knew we would need a larger size. The XL fits great.
It has worked well. Strong thick material with good sturdy elastic. I wish it was adjustable but the buttons are stationary on the side. Wish it was cut a big bigger, i.e. more material. But gets the job done.
I read that it ran small.. my son is almost 2 and I ordered a 4T to be safe. It's a little big, as expected.. but it works and now he can grow into it. I suggest going for a bigger size.
These run small so buy a size larger, trust me! This is a perfect swim diaper. The side snaps make it easy on and off and it's very absorbent and fits snug in the legs to contain whatever comes out in the diaper! Don't waste your money on disposables, this one works perfect. My little one wore for the first time yesterday and he loved it!
Perfect, so much better than disposable swim diapers as it actually does seem to absorb some wetness. It is a little bulky under swim shorts for a boy. It meets our public pool diaper requirements and fits much better than the super snug neoprene ones. We've used this for about 4 weeks with no issue.
Very snug but my sons a big boy. I expected it to be snug in being a swim diaper and will stretch as its worn. Love the new snap side. We had this brand swim diaper in a smaller size without snaps a lot more difficult to use. Much better now.
These are so much better than disposable swim diapers. I bought 18m for my 6m old based on reviews and they fit great! He's 18lbs to give some help... Highly recommend.
Does exactly what it's supposed to, but tends to run small, especially in the leg opening. Therefore, recommend to order the next larger size for your baby's age.
Just what was needed for our pool.
it's perfect
As others have posted runs a little small. We sized up for my son and nephew. They fit great! They hold the pee in, we have kept on for a few hour and I wasn't leaked on.
Bought for my grandson and fits great at 3 months.
It's great! But a bit on the small size.
Very good quality and very cute
Make sure you buy 1 size larger than what your baby usually wears. My son is 24 pounds and I bought the 25-30 pounds and it fits perfect. I have used it swimming in pools and lakes.
These worked really well for my son who had an extreme reaction to regular swimmy diapers.
I am pretty happy with the product - other than the sizing. I ordered one size up as they suggested. The medium for my 10 month old (20 pounds) were pretty snug. He is now 11 months (22 pounds) and have outgrown them. I do like the size snaps which make it easy to take on and off, especially with a very wiggly baby!
Worked great. Have ordered the next size up now that our baby is a toddler.
Fine at the waist Chafed legs bought 2t/3t up to 38 lbs. Last check my son was 34 lbs 2 weeks ago.
over all these were amazing.... i love everything about them however they do run small. i would suggest getting a bigger size.
Works great!
pretty but too small for my almost 6 months old.
I love these bathing suits. My husband complains that our little boy looks like he is wearing a speedo, but that is the only negative. Easily washable and saves money and time not having to use swim diapers. Snaps are great too!
Easy to wash, doesn't leak, and is super cute. Chaprter then disposable, too.
They are good. It I guess I hit the wrong size
This is a super cute swim diaper. I'm glad I bought one size up from my son's weight -- he's in the middle of the medium range, but I bought a large. The first time he wore it it seemed a little tight around his legs, but it wasn't as bad the second time. I think a medium would have been too small. I know you want it snug to contain the waste, but I don't want it to be so tight it leaves marks. Luckily we haven't had occasion to test how well it keeps the mess inside, but I have peace of mind that it will do its job.
My 4 month old son is 16 lbs and has chunky thighs and they are a tad snug but they do the job!
He likes it
This is a great product, very durable!
